LIMERICK entertain Clare in Division Three of the National Football League at Mick Neville Park, Rathkeale this evening (Saturday, 6pm).
Jimmy Lee’s side are in search of their first win of the campaign.
The visitors are managed by Mark Fitzgerald, who briefly held the reigns with Limerick last season. A key member of his backroom team is Seanie Buckley (Dromcollogher-Broadford), who captained Limerick to National League titles in both 2010 and ‘13.
Buckley is closely associated with Eire Óg, Ennis.
In Ladies Football, Limerick host Carlow at Quaid Park in Coolyroe on Sunday (2pm), with a semi-final up for grabs.
In Camogie League activity, Limerick were runaway winners over Kerry and Down at Senior and Junior Level.
Up next, Limerick host Down at Senior and are away to Antrim in Junior.
Meanwhile, former Clare football star Gary Brennan has joined dual-club Ahane, where he now resides with his wife Niamh Mulcahy, a 2009 Camogie All-Star nominee.
It’s now 20 years since Ahane won the Limerick Senior Hurling Championship.
