THE Foynes Flying Boat Museum paid a flying visit to Dublin earlier this month to accept a national award.
The County Limerick museum was awarded at the CIE Tours Awards of Excellence ceremony.
The award, the Munster Merit award, is only presented to attractions that score above 92 per cent with CIE Tours customers.
The Foynes Flying Boat Museum last won the award in 2020, and was one of the only two Limerick tourist attractions to be in the running this year, along with King John’s Castle.
Fitzgerald’s Woodlands House Hotel in Adare won in the hotel category.
