Limerick footballers in relegation trouble in National Football League

With three defeats on the bounce, Limerick are in relegation trouble in the National Football League.

In front of a decent-sized crowd at Mick Neville Park on Sunday, an improved Limerick were beaten 1-12 to 0-10 by Sligo, who led 1-7 to 0-5 at the interval.

Due to work commitments, Stephen Kelly (Newcastle West) has stepped down as a Limerick selector. No replacement has been announced.

Next-up in Division Three for Limerick it a trip to Mullingar (Cusack Park, 2pm) to tackle Westmeath, weekend winners at Wicklow, on Sunday.

Talented Peter Nash (Kildimo-Pallaskenry) is an injury doubt after he suffered a knock to his ribs against Westmeath.
