THE LIMERICK and Clare Education and Training Board (ETB) is to benefit from an injection of over half a million euros under a new €8million capital funding round.
Announced by government yesterday (February 23), an investment of over €8m was made in ETBs nationwide under Project Ireland 2040.
As part of the funding injection, Limerick and Clare ETB is to receive €580,000, with repeat deliveries of the same amount until 2026.
The funding is for essential small-scale improvement works, including equipment or energy efficiency and decarbonisation upgrades.
Limerick Minister of State Niall Collins welcomed the funding, saying it “assists ETBs in maximising their FET estates, allowing students to maximise their learning experience in a more suitable and comfortable learning environment.”
