STAFF at the Shannon Airport Group were recently honoured for their combined service of over 2,200 years to the business.
At the ceremonies, 74 staff members from Shannon Airport and across the Shannon Airport Group were honoured for their dedicated contributions.
Two staff members received awards for 20 years of service, 27 received awards for 25 years of service, and 21 people were commended for 30 years of working for the airport group. 13 were honoured for 35 years at Shannon Airport. Seven staff members were honoured for four decades of service.
Staff from a range of departments across airport were lauded at the ceremony, including airport operations, the airport police and fire service, airport search unit, aviation development, commercial properties, commercial services, corporate affairs, general management, engineering, finance, human resources, retail, and procurement.
Congratulating the long-serving staff, Mary Considine, CEO of the Shannon Airport Group, said the group is “an extremely busy company and milestones like these present an important opportunity to acknowledge and sincerely thank our dedicated team”.

“Whether it’s making it easy to get from the car park to the departure gate as quickly and smoothly as possible, to keeping the airport operational in sub-zero and severe storm conditions, and raising more than €420,000 for charity over the past 10 years, it is part of the unique DNA of our staff to go the extra mile and we are truly grateful for this commitment.”
