Limerick students honoured for achievements in TeenTurn STEM competition

Melody Ivo & Sophie Keane from Desmond College Limerick with their project “Disconnect to reconnect” who won a Dell XPS 13 Laptop each sponsored by BNY Mellon.

LIMERICK students were honoured for their achievements in the TeenTurn Project Squad competition, aimed at providing girls in Irish schools with the opportunity to get hands-on STEM experience.

In the Junior Social Science category, Melody Ivo and Sophie Keane from Desmond College were awarded for their project ‘Disconnect to Reconnect’, while runners up Paulina Varuyeva and Kinga Tobianska (Desmond College) were noted for their ‘Life in Plastic, it’s NOT Fantastic’ project.

In the Senior Science category a Highly Commended award went to Abbey McNamara and Jade Colbert (Coláiste Nano Nagle).

Senior Technology category runners up were Emma Greaney and Madison Brouder (Desmond College).
