THE Spring season of Music Network tours the country this February with ten dates bookedย so far including one at Belltable Limerick, featuring a quartet of renowned traditional musicians: Niamh Dunne, Brรณna McVittie, Cormac Breatnach, and Seรกn รg Graham. Two founding members of Beoga, Limerick musician Niamh Dunne brings her acclaimed fiddle playing and vocals, while Seรกn รg Graham showcases his versatility on guitar and accordion.
Brรณna McVittie, an innovative vocalist and harper, is set to debut a commissioned composition inspired by the tragic events in Gaza.ย
Drawing from her upbringing during Northern Irelandโs troubles, McVittie aims to pay tribute to the lives lost with a creative and uplifting piece.
Niamh Dunne, recognised for her traditional fiddle playing and folk-infused compositions, achieved critical acclaim with her 2022 album โTides.โ Seรกn รg Graham, a top Irish button accordion player, significantly contributed to Beogaโs success, including the hit collaboration with Ed Sheeran, โGalway Girl.โย
Cormac Breatnach, legendary whistle player and a founding member of Deiseal, adds his extraordinary skills to the quartet. With over 50 albums, including collaborations with Riverdance, Breatnachโs virtuosity has made a lasting impact on Irish music.
