APPLEGREEN has announced that it will create over 80 new jobs in Limerick with the opening of its new service station.
The new service station, located at the Clondrinagh Roundabout outside Limerick City, which will bring over 80 new jobs to the area as part of a €10million investment by the company, officially opened its doors to customers this week.
As well as Applegreen’s fuel services, the new facility will also offer food from M&S Food, Braeburn Coffee, Subway, and the Bakewell deli.
There will also be a standalone Burger King restaurant on the site, with a drive-through facility.
The station will operate on a 24/7 basis, with the onsite restaurants operating between 11am and 11pm.
The M&S Food outlet is the Treaty County’s first M&S outlet, featuring fresh fruit, salads, Irish sandwiches, fresh flowers, and convenient lunch and dinner options.
Ever-popular M&S treats, such as Percy Pig sweets, M&S cookies, and Colin the Caterpillar cakes will also be available on site.
Percy the Pig and Colin the Caterpillar also visited the new outlet to help celebrate the occasion.
The M&S outlet will also feature a click and collect service for M&S clothing and homewares.
The new service area at Clondrinagh will be Applegreen’s fourth location in County Limerick and its 30th in Munster.
Applegreen Ireland Managing Director Fiona Matthews said: “The opening of the new Applegreen Clondrinagh service area is a landmark occasion for us and we are excited to bring Applegreen and our retail partners to the local area, thus creating over 80 new jobs.”
“The award-winning M&S Food range is now available in Limerick for the first time, thanks to our innovative partnership and we know already that customers are very keen to sample the extensive range of M&S Food products available.
“This is really exciting for local customers and since we began our roll-out of partnership stores with M&S last year, we have seen a very positive customer reaction to the new range,” Ms Matthews said.
