A LOCAL artist is to host his first ever solo art exhibition, opening later this week in Limerick City.
David Murphy, from Dooradoyle, a civil engineer by trade, first took up the brush as a means of navigating chronic fatigue and pain, discovering the “healing power of art” as an outlet for self expression.
With the local artist pouring up to two months on each work, David’s first exhibition has taken two years to come to full fruition.
David’s works will go on show at the People’s Museum of Limerick (No 2 Pery Square) from February 2 and run until February 16.
