21 YOUNG people from the Mid West recently received their free travel passes to explore continental Europe.
As part of the DiscoverEU programme, the lucky Limerick explorers will now be able to jet off around Europe meeting new people from a diverse range of backgrounds.
In total, 768 young people from across Ireland applied for the DiscoverEU pass, funded by the European Commission.
Out of this number, 407 Irish young people were selected as winners of the pass, including the 21 from Limerick, Clare, and Tipperary.
The next round of DiscoverEU applications will open in April to 18 year olds who are resident in an EU country.
