THE 40th Limerick Literary Festival was officially launched this week.
Novelist Dan Mooney launched the ruby jubilee of the stalwart Limerick festival on Wednesday at O’Mahony’s Bookshop on O’Connell Street.
The festival will run from February 23 to 25, and will mark the 50th anniversary of the death of Limerick writer Kate O’Brien.
The 2024 Limerick Literary Festival will be opened with an intimate evening of words and music by spoken word artist and musician Denise Chaila, and will feature a full programme of events across the weekend, including the presentation of the Kate O’Brien award for debut novel by an Irish female author.
