DEAD Men Walking returns with a series of shows in January and February across Ireland and the UK, promising an unmissable experience of music and stories. Spearheaded by founding member Kirk Brandon (Spear of Destiny/Theatre of Hate), the lineup features the renowned rhythm section Segs and Ruffy from The Ruts on acoustic bass, percussion, and vocals. Added to the ensemble is Jake Burns, the legendary frontman of Stiff Little Fingers, bringing his guitar, songs, and captivating stories to the stage.
This touring band helped to craft the acclaimed album ‘FREEDOM – It Ain’t On The Rise’ in 2021, earning praise from Louder Than War for their collaborative spirit: “Freedom – It Ain’t On The Rise will bring a smile to your face… There is no dominant force within this recording, each of the artists involved have a clear respect for each other, genuinely acknowledging their respective talents, each allowing the other room to breathe and that is why this album works so well.”
The upcoming 2024 shows mark their first live performances since the album’s release.
With an extensive catalogue of songs at their disposal, this Dead Men Walking lineup plans to deliver a raw, stripped-back interpretation of classic tracks from their iconic albums and singles. Audiences can expect surprise cover versions and some brand new songs from their latest album. Overall, each night promises to showcase the ‘Soundtrack of a Generation’ from these seasoned musicians.
Dead Men Walking play Dolan’s Kasbah this Thursday January 25.
