Limerick clash with Tipp showed improvements on opening McGrath Cup fixture

Although beaten, 1-11 to 0-10, Limerick showed improvement on their heavy opening round to Kerry in Sunday’s McGrath Cup outing with Tipperary in Templetuohy.

Tipp led 0-5 to 0-4 at the interval and the only goal arrived towards the close of the contest.

James Naughton knocked over five points for Limerick.

The league opens for Limerick with a visit from Antrim to Mick Neville Park, Rathkeale on January 28.
