A MAJOR American food chain will open its first standalone Limerick outlet later this month.

The Limerick branch will be the company’s 15th store in Ireland, but the first in the Treaty.

The opening will also see Dublin teenage singer songwriter Roe Byrne bring his musical stylings to the doughnut store’s opening. Byrne is known for supporting musical sensation Dermot Kennedy at his concerts.

Declan Foley, Krispy Kreme country manager for Ireland, said: “We are delighted to be kicking off the New Year by opening the first of our shops in Limerick and second in Munster. Since our first opening in Dublin in 2018, the doughnut love has continued to grow.”

“We plan to continue to bring joy across the country and involve as many fans as we can, bringing them delicious doughnuts to enjoy that are made fresh daily here in Ireland,” he said.

The Limerick outlet will open late seven days a week, opening from 9.30am Monday to Sunday.

The outlet will close at 7pm on Mondays, staying open until 9pm Tuesday through Friday and 8pm on weekends.
