UISCE Éireann has invested €8.6m in a Croom project which is now underway to improve water supply to 1,700 customers.
Crews are already on the ground, constructing 6km of rising main which will connect Croom to the Limerick City supply (Clareville Water Treatment Plant) and will support social and economic development in the Limerick village.
Uisce Éireann has identified Croom as an area where the existing drinking water infrastructure is not sufficient to meet demand and one which is prone to frequent nighttime restrictions, which impacts the local community.
