Good win for Limerick minor camogie

Limerick enjoyed a winning start to the Munster Minor Camogie Championship at the weekend.

A SNUG 1-10 to 1-7 win over Clare in Cappamore has put Limerick through to the Munster Minor Championship proper, with a trip to Waterford in the offing on Sunday next.

Against the banner, Limerickโ€™s goal came from Adareโ€™s Aebhรญnย Houlihan, while some quality points were scored by Rรณisรญn O’Brien, Patrickswell, (4) and Poppy Giltenane, Adare, (3).

Limerick are under the joint management of Adareโ€™s Tony Dunne and Paul Neenan, Dromin/Athlacca.

Meanwhile, Laura Fennelly of Cappamore has been announced as Limerick Senior Captain for 2024, with Niamh Ryan (St. Ailbeโ€™s) and Teresa Dore (Patrickswell) as vice-captains.

Limerick are managed this season by two-time All-Star hurling goalkeeper Joe Quaid.

The league begins next month.
