WOMEN’S Shed Limerick held their annual ‘Little Christmas’ party this past weekend to celebrate and empower women in the community.

Nollaig na mBan, the day when the festive decorations traditionally come down, was celebrated in style this year by members of Women’s Shed Limerick.

Also known as ‘Little Christmas’, the day is traditionally celebrated on January 6 and sees women to gather, celebrate, and share in each other’s company. It holds special significance in Irish culture marking the end of the Christmas season.

Last Saturday night, Limerick ladies gathered in the Clayton Hotel, to mark the occasion. The event proved a stylish affair with around 50 local members adding to the vibrant atmosphere.

Chairperson of the group, Sinead O’Beirne Brinn, told the Limerick Post that the festive get together was a celebration of the fantastic initiatives and contributions their members made in the last 12 months.
