MUNGRET St Paul’s closed out a memorable 2023 with a 1-6 to 0-8 extra time victory over Fr Casey’s of Abbeyfeale in the Limerick Premier Under-21 Football Final at Tournafulla.

A fortuitous goal at the death from Mungret captain Darragh O’Hagan brought this entertaining contest beyond regulation time.

In those additional 20 minutes, scores were at a premium until Billy Molyneaux spilt the uprights through a free from the acutest of angles.

At centre-back, Jack McCarthy impressed throughout.
