THERE’S likely to be strong interest in the auction of the framed signed jersey worn by Limerick star Graeme Mulcahy in the 2023 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Final win over Kilkenny at Croke Park.
The five-time All-Ireland medal winner has generously donated the item for auction, with proceeds towards a proposed new all-weather sports facility at Scoil Mocheallóg, Kilmallock.
“Graeme has fantastic memories of school hurling and was delighted to hear of the development of the new all-weather area that will benefit our young people of today and and allow the future pupils in Kilmallock access to a state of the art, all-year round playing surface,” commented principal Leonie Passmore.
She added: “Sport and games and physical activity is a critical part of the development of our children. Scoil Mocheallóg has a long tradition of fostering, nurturing and developing the sporting careers of our young people – a proud tradition that can be traced back over 100 years.”
