UNIVERSITY of Limerick (UL) recently found itself ranked highly among the most sustainable educational institutions in the world.
That’s according to the World University Rankings for Sustainability, collated by Quacquarelli Symonds, which ranked UL 175th in the world – a large jump from its previous ranking below the 300 mark.
The rankings also placed UL as 77th in Europe and 5th in Ireland.
Welcoming the news, UL president Professor Kerstin Mey said: “This achievement is a testament to our unwavering commitment to sustainability, an ethos deeply embedded in the fabric of our institution.
University of Limerick stands aligned with global efforts to integrate sustainability not just into our academic programmes but into the very essence of our research, innovation, and campus practices.”
