It’s with a spring in their step that Alan Kennedy-captained Young Munster – fresh from an excellent 32-17 home win over City of Armagh – make the long trip to face Ballynahinch (Down) in Division 1A of the AIL on Saturday.
At Tom Clifford Park, Kegan Christian-Goss, Fintan Coleman, Fionn Gibney, and Stephen McLoughlin all crossed for tries, while Shane O’Leary landed three conversions and a couple of penalties.
Elsewhere in the top-flight, Shannon, soundly beaten by holders Terenure College at the weekend, entertain bottom side Dublin University at Thomond Park, while in 1B Bryan Fitzgerald-led Garryowen, who impressed in a 32-26 home defeat of Blackrock College on Saturday, travel to basement outfit Bucaneers.
Fixtures across the AIL are timed for 2.30pm starts.
Meanwhile, approaching the halfway mark in the Women’s All Ireland League, comfortable leaders UL Bohemian defeated second-placed Old Belvedere 20-15 in Dublin.
Brianna Heylmann, Aoibhe O’Flynn, and Chisom Ugwueru scored tries for Bohs and Kate Flannery kicked a conversion and a penalty.
