CAHERDAVIN Men’s Shed raised €4,045 for Milford Care Centre when they hosted a coffee morning in the Scout Hall on September 28. This amounts raised flew up to 60 per cent higher than what was raised by the group a year earlier.
Jackie Hourigan, chair of Caherdavin Men’s Shed, said he wanted to thank the people who came from far and wide on the day for their generous support. He also thanked the businesses who have given generously to support the coffee morning.
“There is no household or family in Limerick city or county which has not personally experienced the care provided by Milford Care Centre. They provide a fantastic service, every patient is treated with courtesy, given great respect, and their pain is alleviated at all times. We are all eternally grateful for their work for our loved ones”
Accepting the cheque, Anne Marie Hayes, fundraising manager at Milford Care Centre, said how much they appreciated the public support for their fundraisers – be it the coffee morning, their road race, or the many other fund raisers run throughout the year.
Ms Hayes finished by saying that their work is made easier by the massive support that they receive from the people of Limerick and beyond.
