A YOUNG woman in Newcastle West got a nasty surprise after hosting a party in her home this past weekend.
According to Sergeant Ber Leetch, the woman was hosting friends and, at some point in the night, retired to bed and allowed the revelry to continue.
The next morning, she awoke to find a number of personal belongings, including medication, missing.
“A homeowner does not have to allow anybody into their home. I mean nobody. Not even their friends or family if they do not want to,” Sgt Leetch said.
“Be very cautious who you allow into your home, especially as the Christmas party season is around the corner.”
