MILFORD Care Centre announced the milestone 25th anniversary of its annual โLight up a Memoryโ fundraising event. The event each year sees the community around Milford Care Centre take time to remember loved ones no longer with us.
This year, the special occasion will take place on Sunday December 3 at 4.00pm in Our Lady Help of Christians Church in Castletroy.
For the last 25 years, Milford Care Centre has celebrated the event by inviting the people of Limerick to sponsor a light on its โMemory Treeโ, which will be illuminated at the ceremony on Decenber 3 and remain lighting until January 1, 2024.
Mary OโBrien, Milford Care Centre CEO, expressed her gratitude for the continued support that the โLight up a Memoryโ event has received over the past quarter century.
She also also paid tribute to the late LCM Sr Norbert Dunne, who was the visionary that initiated the first โLight up a Memoryโ fundraiser, leaving behind an incredible legacy that has only grown more meaningful with the passage of time.
โLight Up a Memoryโ lights are available to purchase now for just โฌ5 online atย MilfordCareCentre.ie or by calling the fundraising department at Milford Care Centre on 061 485 859.
