SENIOR cycle students in Limerick are encouraged to enter the Oireachtas Essay Competition for a chance to win €6,000.
‘Parliamentary Politics Matters for Peace’ is the theme of this year’s competition, which asks students to submit an essay on how members of parliament can be agents for peace.
The competition is open to students in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, in 5th or 6th year, or in AS/A Level for those in Northern Ireland.
The competition aims to get young people reflecting on politics and the democratic process.
Students can register to take part on OireachtasEssay.ie by November 10.
