SUNDAY weekโs Limerick Senior Football Championship Final will involve usual suspects Adare and Newcastle West (NCW).
It will be third final on the trot involving the pair, with Jimmy Leeโs NCW seeking an historic three-in-row.
The John Brudair managed Adare needed extra time to overcome the stubborn challenge of Fr Caseyโs in Newcastle West (2-15 to 2-12).
Adare appeared home-and-hosed nearing the hour mark only to leak a couple of goals, one of which was a converted penatly from Eliah OโRiordan. Goals for Adare arrived early on through Hugh Bourke and Davey Lyons.
In additional time, Adare outscored their opponents four points to one.
Newcastle West breezed past Monaleen, 1-9 to 0-6, in the other semi-final. NCWโs goal came through towering full-forward Mike McMahon.
Mungret St Paulโs and Dromcollogher/Broadford are through to the Intermediate Final following respective semi-final wins over Rathkeale and St Senanโs.
Meanwhile, Limerick have been drawn at home to Cork in the opening round of the 2024 Munster Senior Football Championship, the winners of which will then face holders Kerry in the semi-final.
The other semi is Clare v Tipperary/Waterford.
