LIMERICK TD Maurice Quinlivan has described last week’s budget as a “missed opportunity”.
Citing issues in healthcare and the housing crisis, Deputy Quinlivan said: “This Budget has been a missed opportunity to get to grips with the big crises in housing and health. Instead of acting, this Government has squandered the opportunity to fix the housing crisis.”
Speaking about healthcare, Deputy Quinlivan added that this Budget is “bad for our health service, bad for patients, bad for frontline workers.”
He continued that “failure to invest means that the crisis in our health service will continue, chronic waiting lists will continue, and overcrowding will continue.
People in Limerick can’t afford another Budget from this Government. It’s time for change,” he concluded.
