AHEAD of the season URC opener against the Sharks at Thomond Park on Saturday (5.15pm), defending champions Munster have confirmed a two-year contract extension with forwards coach Andi Kyriacou.
He rejoined the province as an Elite Player Development Officer three years ago having previously lined-out with Munster in 2006/07.
Lead Performance Analyst George Murray is also to remain with Munster.
In player news, Simon Zebo is unavailable this weekend due to a foot injury while the fixture is likely to come to soon for the still acclimatising (from Gallagher Chiefs, New Zealand) new-signing Alex Nankivell, who will turn 27 next Wednesday.
Continuing to rehab are: Seán O’Brien (thigh), Jack O’Sullivan (knee), Liam Coombes (thigh), Patrick Campbell (ankle), Roman Salanoa (knee), Mike Haley (hip), Cian Hurley (ankle/achilles), Paddy Patterson (knee).
In the top-flight of the AIL, leaders Shannon – two wins from as many starts, including a bonus point 35-7 victory over Young Munster at the weekend – entertain City Of Armagh at Thomond Park (1pm), while Young Munster are at College Park to meet Dublin University.
In 1B, Garryowen are on the road to Queens (Belfast).
