Limerick company wins at inaugural Irish Steel Awards

A LIMERICK company has won big at the inaugural Irish Steel Awards.

OMC Technologies won the Extra Mile Award Health and Safety for their work in ensuring workplace safety.

The company won for their in-house design and development of an app used and adopted by all OMC employees.

The awards aim to celebrate and showcase the achievements of achievements and innovations in the metal fabrication sector, attracting entries and participants from across the country.

The awards ceremony took place earlier this month in Portlaoise.

OMC Technologies were established over 40 years ago and have decades of experience in various sectors in Ireland, the UK and Europe.

Pat Enright, founder of the Irish Steel Fabricators Association, said: “The Irish Steel Awards aim to shine a spotlight on the incredible work being done in the steel industry across Ireland.”

“It is a chance for professionals and companies to showcase their achievements, inspire innovation, and celebrate the future of the industry. We’re excited that OMC Technologies are taking part in our inaugural event,” he said.

The Irish Steel Award, are organised to recognise and honour the exceptional contributions and accomplishments of individuals, companies, and organisations within the steel industry.

The event brought together professionals, experts, and enthusiasts from various corners of the industry to celebrate their achievements.
