FOLLOWING the completion of Phase 2 of the Patrickswell Village Renewal Scheme, Limerick City and County Council have plans to provide a deep clean of Phase 1, which was completed in 2016.

In recent months, an excess of €1.2 million was invested in the second phase of the Patrickswell Village Renewal Scheme, which involved significant improvements in the public realm.

Following these extensive works, the local authority has committed to carry out power washing of Phase 1 of the scheme.

Welcoming this commitment, Deputy Mayor of Limerick, Cllr Dan McSweeney, said: “Overall the improvements of the public realm in Patrickswell has been welcomed by local residents, the commitment from Limerick City and County Council to carry out deep clean of the first phase of the village which was completed in 2016 is extremely welcomed.”

“In recent months I have worked with Limerick City and County Council to secure funding to carry out this deep clean of the first phase, which will refresh this section of the Village Renewal Scheme. It is anticipated these works will be carried out in the coming weeks.”
