THERE were celebrations in the county as the winners of the 33rd annual Ballyhoura Country Tidy Towns Awards were revealed recently.
Of the 35 eager entrants, eight prizes were awarded based on improvements on rankings in the national Tidy Town competition year on year.
Winners included Bruff and Garrienderk (Overall Development Approach category), Ardpatrick and Newtownshandrum (Built Environment and Landscaping), Galbally and Caherconlish (Litter Control, Waste Tidiness, and Housing Areas), and Kildorrery and Glenroe (Community Planning, Encironment, and Sustainability).
