FOUR years out from its staging of the Ryder Cup, Adare Manor was well represented as Team Europe triumphed over the United States in the 2023 edition at the Marco Simone Country Club in Rome.
Seeking to gain hands-on experience were owner JP McManus and management figures such as Sarah Ormston, Brendan O’Connor (Resort General Manager), Andy McMahon, Alan McDonnell, and green-keeping personnel, one of whom (Billy O’Keeffe) was in charge of cutting the first tee.
A small number of officials from Limerick City and County Council were also in Italy at the weekend.
