Vogue trades catwalk for ghost hunt in Limerick

Vogue Williams and her Spooked Ireland team will tackle King John's Castle on Really TV this Friday.

KING John’s Castle and its spooky goings on will feature this evening (October 6) in ‘Spooked Ireland’, a new series led by Vogue Williams.

On Friday, model and actress Vogue and her team, including a Limerick paranormal investigator and renowned US medium Chris Fleming will unveil their findings about the Castle’s denizens living and dead.

With recent underground X-rays revealing hundreds of skulls buried beneath the undercroft, Fleming reportedly picks up on paranormal activity within seconds of stepping inside the medieval castle walls.

During their investigation, video evidence is presented of a ‘shadowy figure’ wandering through the castle. Meanwhile, a tip off from a local investigator leads the team to a local pub where an incredible discovery is made.

The six-part series will air on Really TV and includes a visit to the Ailwee Caves in the Burren.

From Dublin to Kilkenny, Galway to Wexford and Limerick, the team uncovers the mysteries, myths, and murders behind some of Ireland’s most haunted locations and attempts to bring peace for the tortured souls refusing to leave them.

Equipped with the latest paranormal tools, tech specialist Ryan O’Neill will gather evidence and record any ghostly activity while parapsychologist Evelyn Hollow will interrogate the stories, using science and logic to try to explain each supernatural sighting.

Along the way, Vogue will meet local ghost hunters carrying out their own investigations and speaks to the terrified locals desperate for help.

Fascinated with the paranormal since childhood, Vogue said she wanted to present the show because she wondered if she “would actually see a ghost or if something really supernatural and weird would happen”.

“Seeing Ireland and all those amazing places, as scary as they were, hearing all the history behind them and everything was just really fascinating,” she said.

The model and presenter Vogue said she went in with a skeptical mind and, when asked if she believes in ghosts, she said “I still like I can’t say for definite either way, I just know that there were really weird experiences that happened on that show that we couldn’t explain”.
