A MAN was due to appear before Limerick District Court this morning charged in connection with the robbery of a local business in Limerick City.
According to Gardaí, the man, described as being in his late 40s, was arrested yesterday afternoon (Thursday September 28) after an investigation into the robbery of a business on William Street in Limerick City.
A statement from An Garda Síochána outlined that the man entered the business on Wednesday evening (September 27) and proceeded to threaten staff. He then left the premises with a cash sum in tow.
Having been arrested the following day and since charged, the man was due to appear before Limerick District Court this morning (Friday).
Gardaí say investigations into the incident are ongoing.
