LIMERICK will host a Benefit Meeting in aid of Milford Hospice on Saturday October 7.

The driving-force behind the event is Tom Ahern, a Welfare Officer with Greyhound Racing Ireland.

He explained: “Earlier this year my family and I saw first-hand the importance of such a facility with the passing of our mother.  The care that she received from both the home care team and the staff on site in Castletroy were second to none.  In supporting this event attendees will support the brilliant work of Milford Hospice.”

Aside from a quality race card, there will be complimentary kids’ entertainment and music afterwards will be with ‘The Roadrunners.’

Members of the All-Ireland winning Limerick senior hurling team will be in attendance, accompanied by the Liam McCarthy Cup.
