PEOPLE who wish to discover some of Limerick’s heritage sites across the autumn and winter will now be able to avail of a new range of rates to Limerick’s official sightseeing pass.
Limerick City and County Council, in collaboration with Fáilte Ireland, have announced the introduction of a new range of rates and bundles to the Discover Limerick Pass.
Among the new offerings is a special one-day family pass for two adults and two children, costing €99, with children under five going free.
New rates will also be offered for one, three, and five-day adult passes, as well as individual passes for children aged six to 16 years old.
The Discover Limerick Pass offers access to the top attractions in Limerick for a total price lower than paying for each attraction individually.
The Discover Limerick Pass allows people to gain access to some of Limerick’s top attractions including King John’s Castle, the Hunt Museum, the Foynes Flying Boat Museum, and to lunchtime concerts at St Mary’s Cathedral.
Gordon Daly, Director of Services for Economic Development, Enterprise, and Tourism at Limerick City and County Council said: “The Discover Limerick Pass is an excellent new tourism product for Limerick City and County.”
“According to studies, visitors say that sightseeing passes are a very convenient way of exploring an area, and this enhanced offering for Limerick’s official sightseeing pass, will increase value to the visitor.”
Head of Wild Atlantic Way at Fáilte Ireland, Miriam Kennedy, said: “The new Discover Limerick Pass enhances Limerick’s tourism offering and will help visitors easily discover some of the unique attractions and hidden visitor experiences across the city and county, while also showcasing the strength of Limerick as a tourism destination as a whole.”
