Taoiseach takes note of Limerick women in business

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar paid a visit to a meeting of Network Ireland Limerick.

LIMERICK businesswomen had a surprise guest at their September event held at the Greenhills Hotel last week.

Members of Network Ireland Limerick were visited by An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar at their September meeting, which took place last week.

Karen Ronan, President of Network Ireland’s Limerick branch, welcomed the Taoiseach and gave him an overview of the organisation’s work and aims.

“It was an honour to welcome An Taoiseach to our event. We were delighted he took the time out to hear how Network Ireland is supporting the professional and personal development of women in business,” Ms Ronan said.

“Our membership is made up of a diverse group of women, from budding entrepreneurs, SME owners, professionals and leaders in indigenous and multinational organisations to non profits, charities, arts and the public sector – all of whom were represented at our event.”

Following the appearance of the Fine Gael party leader, positive psychology and business strategist Lorna Lyons gave a workshop using Lego Play titled “Blending a positive psychology approach to business growth”.

The founder of the Mumboss Network shared her insights and tips for setting goals and removing the many common obstacles that women face in business.

Network Ireland Limerick promotes the personal and professional development of women in business and provides a forum where women can exchange business ideas and increase their business contacts.

They host monthly meetings where a guest speaker is invited to educate, inform, and entertain on topics of interest to women.
