AS MANY as 950 households across Limerick completed home energy upgrades in the first half of 2023.
That’s according to the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) who say that the country is well on track to meet or surpass its target of 37,000 home upgrades for 2023, having already completed almost 22,000 in the first half of the year.
With 21,717 home energy upgrades already confirmed in the opening six months of 2023, the SEAI say the nation is 150 per cent above the number of retrofits completed in the same period in 2022.
The organisation says free energy upgrades for low-income homes are also up 20 per cent so far this year.
