SARAH Lavin is now undisputedly Ireland’s fastest woman.

The 29-year-old from Emerald Athletics Club recently broke the 100m national hurdles record (with a time of 12.62) at the World Championships.

Following that, on Monday night, Lavin took down the five-year-old 100m mark with a sensational run of 11.28 at the Galà dei Castelli meet in Bellinzona, Switzerland.

Previous 100m record holder Phil Healy commented on social media: “No better and more deserving person to take this record on the back of her national 100m hurdles record and the most incredible season both indoor and outdoor!”
