THE Minister for Education has informed Fianna Fáil TD Willie O’Dea that agreement has been reached with the Joint Trustee of Crescent College Comprehensive S.J., Irish Jesuit Provincial, for the development of a new special school facility on the grounds of the school to accommodate Red Hill Special School.

Red Hill first opened in Limerick in 2008 as a co-educational special school for pupils with autistic spectrum disorder & complex needs.

“The proposed new development will consist of a new state-of-the-art 20 classroom special school within the grounds of Crescent College in Dooradoyle,” O’Dea revealed.

“Capital works will be informed by a campus master plan and will include the provision of a Special Education Needs facility and enhanced accommodation to facilitate increased enrolments.”
