INDEPENDENT councillor Fergus Kilcoyne has welcomed a planning application by Loughmore Healthcare for a 128-bed nursing home on the R526 which links Raheen and Patrickswell.
The two-storey building includes dining rooms, communal areas, a production kitchen and a first floor terrace.
“This is such a good location. It’s on a main bus route travelling into Limerick City and County on the R526 which will also benefit family members and friends who do not drive cars to have easy transport by bus for visiting times,” Cllr Kilcoyne said.
“Having the South Court Hotel so close by can be an added benefit for where relatives might wish to stay over night in emergency cases to be near their loved ones,” he added.
