Féile na Gréine celebrates DIY culture this weekend

Robocobra play at The Commercial this Sunday at 6.45pm

ONE of the cultural highlights of a Limerick Summer is Féile na Gréine. The annual music festival runs from August 18—20 in locations across the city from art spaces to craft breweries.

This celebration of emerging and experimental music, community and DIY culture will take audiences on a three-day musical trail through the city.

The organisers have announced the timetable for their biggest line-up for the festival to date.

FRIDAY HIGHLIGHTS: Festival Launch with Dreamcycles at Ormston House; Ana Palindrome / FONDA / Autumns / Lesko at Pharmacia.

SATURDAY HIGHLIGHTS: Cinder Well / Jane Deasy / mankyy x Hazey Haze at Mother Mac’s;

SUNDAY HIGHLIGHTS: 

Out of Place screening + Q&A with the filmmakers, hosted by Michelle Doyle at Belltable;

Méabh McKenna / Róis / Sweets / Senior Infants at Treaty City Brewery;

Moving Home / Robocobra Quartet / Naive Ted at The Commercial Bar.

With over 30 scheduled events including gigs, site-specific performances, and workshops, this festival is a celebration of everything DIY in Irish independent music.
