E-scooter driver hospitalised in Limerick after crash with bus

AN E-SCOOTER driver was hospitalised following a crash with a bus this past weekend.

Gardaí and members of the emergency services responded to the crash, which happened in the Union Cross/Ennis Road area of Limerick City on Saturday afternoon (August 12) at around 1pm.

According to a statement from An Garda Síochána, the e-scooter driver was conveyed to University Hospital Limerick following the incident for treatment of “minor injuries”.

Witnesses at the scene claimed the man suffered a number of facial injuries following the crash.

There have been no reports of any others sustaining injuries resulting from the crash, or damage to the bus and its driver and passengers.
