Limerick men Sarsfield and Tuite pot way to Ireland win

-

LIMERICK pair Frank Sarsfield (St. Johnโ€™s) and Mark Tuite were both key members of the Irish Masters Snooker team which claimed only a second ever Home International Championship at Leeds.

The duo were joined on the team by Rodney Goggins of Wexford and Waterfordโ€™s Dylan Rees.

Wins over Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales qualified Ireland for a final with England.

Here, Sarsfield, Tuite, Goggins and Rees came through seven frames to four.

Tuite, in particular, was brilliant, potting the winning balls as he made a clearance under pressure to claim in style the title for the Irish.
