LIMERICK pair Frank Sarsfield (St. John’s) and Mark Tuite were both key members of the Irish Masters Snooker team which claimed only a second ever Home International Championship at Leeds.
The duo were joined on the team by Rodney Goggins of Wexford and Waterford’s Dylan Rees.
Wins over Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales qualified Ireland for a final with England.
Here, Sarsfield, Tuite, Goggins and Rees came through seven frames to four.
Tuite, in particular, was brilliant, potting the winning balls as he made a clearance under pressure to claim in style the title for the Irish.
