RESIDENTS in the Moyross area of Limerick City have been warned of planned water outages scheduled to take place this week.
The disruptions to water service will take place this Friday and will mean outages for residents on the Moyross Road, Cliona Park, College Avenue, and surrounding areas in Limerick City.
The outages, according to a statement by Uisce Éireann, come as the result of works in line with the National Leakage Reduction Programme, which aims to reduce leaks by repairing or replacing old or damaged pipes on the public network.
The works will take place on Friday (August 10) between the hours of 10am and 3pm, however Uisce Éireann’s statement recommends that impacted residents “allowed two-to-three hours after the estimated restoration time for your supply to fully return”.
The programme is part of a €500million national package that will also see lead pipes replaced across the Irish water system.
Limerick City and County Council will have a traffic management plan in place for the duration of the works.
