Hazey Haze and Personal Vanity Project
THE Summer Sessions continue in The Record Room with Hazey Haze and Personal Vanity Project on stage this Thursday August 3.
The Record Room and Wired 99.9FM in association with WAV Mastering have curated a list of exciting new Limerick based talent, 12 acts in all, playing over five nights at the Catherine Street basement venue which will be recorded live and released on a compilation album.
The series aims to capture a snapshot of the current vibrant scene in Limerick.
Dance Limerick
‘Riverine’ will be performed at Dance Limerick Performance Space, John’s Square on Thursday August 3 as part of their Step Up series.
The piece, by choreographer Maria Nilsson Waller, explores the concept and realities of rivers. Drawing on the vital importance of the River Shannon for the city of Limerick, the piece casts a wider net that examines the idea of flow, of embodying a place and collaborating with nature. Five young dance artists were selected to take part in this year’s edition. Ghaliah Conroy, Fionnuala Doyle Wade, Saoirse Lambkin O’Kane, Ben Sullivan and Jessie Thompson have been spending the last few weeks working together at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance and at Dance Limerick, developing new exciting work with choreographer Maria Nilsson Waller.

CIAN will play to an ecstatic audience of fans this Saturday at Dolans Warehouse. His star has been rapidly rising since the chart topping hit ‘All For You’ was featured on Love Island picking up over 150K views on Tik Tok in just twenty minutes.
His support slot with Dermot Kennedy earlier this Summer saw him win over a host of new fans in Limerick.
Stay in Dolans on Saturday and hang out with the crew on the Terrace this Saturday night for the Cian Ducrot After Show Party, DJs will keep the party going until late. No cover charge.
IDENTITY Street Party
THE new compilation album that highlights the depths of creativity in Limerick is getting a launch party this weekend at the Medieval Quarter on Nicholas Street.
The gigs take place this Saturday August 5 and Sunday August 6. Saturday’s lineup: Cascado; Krome; Shroomie; Some Images of Paradise; Godwin and B+
Sunday’s lineup: Theatre; Misvanity; Shroomie; Eoin Ryan; Slibhin; Sea Oh When and Sean Freeney.

Cry Before Dawn
Cry Before Dawn have two Double Platinum selling albums to their name as well as prestigious national awards. These include “Best Newcomer” in 1987 and “Best Irish Group” in 1989, reflecting the huge popularity of the band across the country. Cry Before Dawn reformed in 2011 which coincided with the release of a ‘Best Of’ CD. 2017 saw the original band line up back on stage, with Tony Hall re-joining on guitar as the band released their first new material in over 10 years.
