MOVES are being made towards the delivery of the Patrickswell to Charleville Greenway.
Members of Limerick City and County Council gave approval to enter into a Section 85 agreement with Cork County Council to deliver the greenway.
It is anticipated that contractors will be appointed in the coming weeks.
Welcoming the advancement, Deputy Mayor Dan McSweeney said: “This is a welcome advancement for this greenway project as it has been a long time on the way.”
“It is also imperative that we also see the advancement of the Rathkeale to Limerick Greenway alongside this project, which will link up with the Limerick Greenway and now the Charleville Greenway.”
