FRESH from their heroics in completing the historic All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship four-in-a-row, Limerick players will return to club representation with the commencement of the Bon Secours Hospital Championship across the upcoming August Bank Holiday Weekend.
“The past couple of weeks have been a remarkable time for Limerick Hurling, and I am confident that the Club Senior Championship will prove to be an exciting and memorable spectacle,” commented Limerick Chairman Seamus McNamara at the competition’s launch.
“As the championship commences, I extend my best wishes to all the participating teams. It was heartening to witness the enthusiastic representation of every club at the announcement of the championship.”
On behalf of the sponsor, Sarah O’Sullivan said: “There is palpable excitement and anticipation as the club championship is about to get underway. We are delighted to have a long-standing relationship with Limerick GAA and view this partnership as a perfect fit between the two organisations.”
The pick of the opening round fixtures is the glamour tie between holders Na Piarsaigh and Parickswell in Claughaun on Friday, 7pm.
