AFTER a tournament that involved 40 matches over a month and which produced 150 or so goals, the curtain has come down on an incredibly successful Limerick Inter-Firm season.
In the final at Jackman Park, Pro Energy Retrofit defeated Westrock 5-1. Amongst the goal scorers for the winners was Player-of-the-Tournament Thomas Frawley, while Evan Kelly registered an incredible score for the runners-up.
Q3 overcame Netcore in the Plate Final.
Stats Perform – a market-leading sports technology company based on Henry Street – were deeply involved.
It’s Director of Business Operations Séamus Monaghan commented: “It’s great to see the businesses of Limerick coming together at this time of year to engage in such an enjoyable and worthwhile activity, where they can also build lasting relationships for the future. Congratulations to everyone from the competing companies who helped organise this event.”
Added Pat Quigley, Active Cities Officer with Limerick Sports Partnership: “We are delighted to support the Limerick Inter-firm Football Tournament through our Active Cities Project. This is a fantastic opportunity for people to get active in an enjoyable and social setting, and we wish the best of luck to all the teams taking part.”
Gate receipts were forwarded to the Limerick Mental Health Association.
