THE Castletroy Greenway badly needs more bins is the view of Aontú campaigner Eric Nelligan.
Mr Nelligan raised the issue after numerous contacts received on the topic from locals who use the 1.3km stretch going from Castletroy College to the Munster GAA grounds.
“The opening of the Castletroy Greenway has attracted more people to the area. At the moment there are four bins on the greenway. These bins are situated at the main access points to the greenway.”
“There is a clear and distinct gap in the bin coverage. This gap is leading to one bin in particular, the bin close to the Castletroy College entrance, overflowing regularly, as it is a long distance to the other three which are closer together,” Mr Nelligan said.
